As an additional benefit, members can unlock their Benefit Booster by registering on the B Value programme, completing a wellness screening and other qualifying health actions, giving families access to up to R12 000 in extra benefits in 2027. This will cover eligible out-of-hospital claims such as GP consultations, over-the-counter medicine, blood tests, X-rays and more. What to look forward to in 2027
We continue to enhance our care programmes and value-added services available to members. In 2027, the new Live Lean Programme will support pre-identified members who struggle with weight management and are at an increased risk of developing serious health conditions, helping them take proactive steps towards better health and wellbeing.
The enhancements don’t stop there. We are also introducing the Ocular Health Programme across all options, providing dedicated support for members living with eye conditions such as glaucoma and cataracts. The programme is designed to promote early intervention, ongoing management and improved eye health outcomes.
Building on the success of Dr B, our digital health ambassador, we are excited to launch The Health Beat, a new virtual podcast series. Hosted by Dr B, the podcast will answer real questions from the online community and simplify the world of medical aid for members, employers and prospective members alike.
